With Desserts by Marshelle, Marshelle Walker continues the legacy of her mother, whom Marshelle watched run a kitchen as Sheraton, Oklahoma's first Black female executive chef. In 2013, she left the corporate world and put everything she had into her vision of a bakery that would act as a hub for youth and community. She's often assisted in the kitchen by her granddaughter, preserving the passion her family has had for food for generations.
